WAKE UP

The event is held at Shimohama Beach, Akita Prefecture, Japan. The beach is accessible by car (free parking nearby) and by local bus from Akita Station. Detailed directions and a map link will be emailed with your QR ticket.

Bring your QR ticket (on your phone or printed), a valid ID (student ID if applicable), cash for any extras, sunscreen, a towel, and comfortable footwear for sand. No outside food or drinks allowed inside the venue.

We have craft beers and some cocktails available at the beach bar. Food is limited, so we recommend bringing your own. A small selection of snacks will be sold on-site.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, tickets are transferable — you can give or sell your ticket to someone else. In the unlikely event the festival is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, a full refund will be issued.

Check your spam/junk folder first — it sometimes ends up there. If you still can't find it, DM us @wakeupakita on Instagram with your full name and payment confirmation screenshot and we'll sort it out fast. You can also email wakeup.akita@gmail.com.

Absolutely! Wake Up Akita welcomes international guests. All signage will be in both Japanese and English. Payment accepts international methods. If you need help with directions or local info, reach out to us on Instagram — we're happy to help.

The event is rain-or-shine with covered areas available. In the case of a typhoon or severe weather warning issued for Akita City, we will announce a postponement or cancellation via Instagram and email. Refunds will be issued for cancellations only.
