BY TRAIN
- •Take the JR Uetsu Main Line from Akita Station
- •Get off at Shimohama Station (~15 min)
- •3–5 minute walk to the beach entrance
- •Last train back to Akita Station departs Shimohama Station at approximately 22:45
- •Trains run infrequently. We recommend checking the JR Uetsu Main Line timetable before traveling and planning your return in advance.
BY TAXI
- •Taxis available at Akita Station (~¥6,000–7,500)
- •~22–30 minutes to Shimohama Beach (17.2 km)
- •20% night surcharge applies 22:00–05:00. Pre-book return taxi for after the event.
